Plant Director at Schneider Electric
PURPOSE
Schneider Electric want to run a sustainable production without compromising their quality measures. When we first got in touch, they had noticed a large amount of waste being generated in the production of multi-material products with low tolerance margins. They were searching for new ways to take action on this challenge and found, that we could create sustainable and cost-effective solutions together.
Our collaboration today is continuously developing with the purpose of helping Schneider Electric in their pursuit to make green business.
SOLUTION
We have identified a waste stream coming from a specific multi-component product. As a solution we have arranged a sorting service: Schneider Electric sends their plastic scrap to Trebo’s facilities to be sorted and prepared for injection moulding of new products.
This results in 95% of the plastic waste in question is now recycled into production of identical products. This arrangement is just the beginning and Schneider Electric will hopefully soon own a Trebo system themselves.
Injection moulding
A relatively large multi-component inlet is produced for every six workpieces
Granulation
The inlet is granulated to physically separate the two plastic types which the inlet consists of
Sorting
The two plastic types are sorted in the Trebo sorting system and prepared for recycling
Injection moulding
The sorted plastics can now be used to produce identical workpieces, closing the loop
REACH OUT
We can also help you recycle your own plastic waste and hereby save money in procurement costs and lower CO2 emissions. Drop us an email or give us a call and let us help you!
